Cozumel, Mexico is world famous for it's spectacularly clear and beautiful water, exciting drift diving, indigenous sealife and huge reefs below the surface - but did you know that there are countless other activities you can do above water and on land?

• COZUMEL BEACHES & PARKS
First of all, there are over 20 named beaches in Cozumel awaiting your towel and sunscreen! Starting from the famous San Francisco beach and reef, only 5-10 minutes south on the main road (and south of the Puerta Maya Cruise Ship pier), you have many to choose from. Starting at UVAS Restaurant & Beach Club, Chankanaab State Park, Playa Corona, Carlos N' Charlies, San Fransisco, Paradise, Playa Mia, Mr.Sanchos, Nachi-CoCom, to the windy, western side. Here, you will also find a number of beach restaurants such as Rastas and Paradise Cafe, Playa Bonita, El Galeon at St. Martin's, Chen Rio, Mezcalito's Restaurant, plus many more! You can have as much, or little privacy, as you desire.

• SNORKEL, GLASS BOTTOM BOAT, FISH
What if you love the water but don't dive? Well, you can pay as little as $20 per person, or negotiate a private charter boat rental for your group to snorkel, fish or sightsee. Our recommended operators are Carla Salazar (she can be reached on her cell phone at 044.987.100.4444) or in her kiosk in the in the central square, across from the downtown ferry pier. Also, Antonio at Dive Experience (next to the Villa Blanca Hotel & Mezcalitos West), can help you have a great time.

• SUBMARINE RIDES & ATV TOURS
You can also catch a submarine ride with Atlantis Submarine  and dry dive like a pro in air-conditioned comfort! Reach new depths of fun and excitement with this very popular activity for all ages! See what Cozumel is all about. Also, explore the wild side of Cozumel by taking an eco-friendly tour through the jungle, with a beach and ruins visit on all-terrain vehicles with Wild Tours. It's a gas!

• GOLF IN COZUMEL
How about you land lovers, are you ready for a round of golf? Check out the Nicklaus Group designed golf course at the Cozumel Country Club
on the north end of the island. With a great pro shop, fantastic eats and drinks at the restaurant and hotel affiliation discounts, you can stay nearby and play the links while in paradise.

• MUSEUMS, ARCHEOLOGICAL SITES AND MAYAN HISTORY
You will definitely want to spend some time getting aquainted with Cozumel by visiting the Museum in downtown and at the newest park, Dicover Mexico! (not related). At both locations, you will discover the rich history of the island, and culture of the Mayan's who inhabit the Yucatan. In addition, some of the finest arts and crafts available in Cozumel, can only be found at the Discover Mexico boutique store.
